Activities of the department

Department of Computer Science in collaboration with departments of History and Tourism organized 72nd Independence Day Celebrations on 15th August 2018 in college Auditorium.

S. Prasanna Glory and P. Malathi were the coordinators for the Rangoli competition that was conducted to students on 19th November 2018 as a part of Cultural week celebrations.
Department leads the students in ‘Swach Bharat’ internship programme.ICT based classes have been conducted in teaching, learning and evaluation process by using ‘KAHOOT’ and ‘PLICKERS’ to students.

Technomeet – 2K18

Department of Computer Science organized a state level technical event “TECHNOMEET – 2K18” on 20th December 2018 in the college auditorium.The chief guest for this event was Dr.R.Tirapathi Reddy, Associate professor, HOD CSS K.L University, Vaddeswaram. Students from various colleges took part in the competitions like PowerPoint presentations, coding and debugging, talent hunt, quiz and Mr and Miss Technommet 2K18. Speaking on the occasion, he explained to the students about Big data and its applications. He also said that today’s computer world and the need to develop communication skills.

Amaravathi IT - Fest 2019

· The Department of Computer Science staff – Mrs S. P. Glory and Ms. G. Sindhuja and 30 students of B.Sc (Computers) participated in Amaravathi IT Fest – 2019, on 30^th March 2019 at 4:00 PM in VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Kanuru, Vijayawada.

Publications of the staff

S. Prasanna Glory has participated and presented a paper entitled “CYBER SECURITY CHALLENGES & EMERGING TRENDS ON LATEST TECHNOLOGIES” in UGC sponsored Two – Day National Seminar on “Cyber Security” organized by the Department of Computer Science & applications, KBN College, Vijayawada on 28th and 29th November 2018.
S. Prasanna Glory, B. Roja Priscilla and P. Malathi attended a Three Day Faculty Development Program on “PYTHON & R-PROGRAMMING” conducted by Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering & Technology from 26-04-2018 to 28-04-2018.
S. Prasanna Glory participated in Nava Nirmana Deeksha 2018 conducted from 02-06-18 to 8-06-2018.
S. Prasanna Glory attended an orientation workshop on “OER CONTENT DEVELOPMENT MOOCS AND MOODLES” organized by E & ICT Academy, NIT Warangal, Commission of Collegiate Education and AP State Council of Higher Education, Govt of AP. at E & ICT Academy,NIT Warangal from 9th November to 14th November 2018.
B. Roja Priscilla and E. Grace Lydia attended a Two Day Faculty Development Program on “Google Classroom” conducted by Maris Stella College, Vijayawada on 15th and 16th October 2018.
S. Prasanna Glory was one of the coordinator for Red Ribbon Club - 2018 that was conducted on 28th August 2018 in College Auditorium.
Participation and Achievements of Students

1. Y. Krishna Sree and D. Hemalatha of III – B.Sc (MSCS) participated in atwo-day workshop on

“How to Launch a startup in Digital Marketing” conductedby P.B.Siddhartha College of Arts and

Science on 7th and 8th July.

2. S.Sukanya of III – B.Sc (MPCS) participated in Treasure Hunt and got first prize in “Techno
Banquet 2018”, organized by Department of Computer Science & Applications, K.B.N College,
Vijayawada on 18th August 2018.

3. P.Manju of III – B.Com (Computers) participated in College event and got first prize in
“TechSparks - 2K18”, organized by Department of Computer Science,Sri Durga Malleswara
Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada on 4th December 2018.

4. Ms. K. Sindhura and P. Sravani of I – B.Sc (MSCS) has participated and got the second prize

in PowerPoint Presentation in “Tech Manthar - 18”, organized by Department of Computer

Science, Nalanda Degree College, Vijayawada on 10th September 2018.

5. N. Gayathri, Farahana Shaik, Nafiza Begum Shaik of B.Sc (Computers) students got selected

in campus interview for the company “Infosys” conducted in “Bapatla Engineering College”,

Bapatla on 17th December 2018.

6. Nearly 20 Students from III – B.Sc (Computers) and III – B.Com (Computers) participated

in campus drive at SRR & CVR Govt College – Job Mela for the company “Mphasis” on

13th December 2018.

7. Nearly 34 Students from III – B.Sc (Computers) participated in campus drive conducted at

Nalanda Degree College by “Vee Technologies” on 14th December 2018.The following students
